​Bella Sera Villas is a community of attached patio homes located near downtown Matthews.  Most of the homes are ranches with two bedrooms and two bathrooms plus an office or sunroom.  Some of the units have finished basements, which increases the heated area to over 3000 square feet.

The Courtyards at Emerald Lake is one of the newest active adult 55+ communities in Matthews.  Nearing completion, the community has approximately 90 detached single family homes.  Most are ranches although some have upstairs suites or finished basements.

Curry Place

Curry Place is a small community of affordable patio homes.

​Located off Potters Road in Stallings, Curry Place is one of the most affordable patio home communities in the Matthews area.  Residents live in detached single family homes or duplexes.  The homeowners association fees cover lawn maintenance, common area maintenance, pressure washing of home exteriors and termite treatment.

    Because Curry Place is so small, there aren't many sales each year.  The average closed price increased 14.3% in 2017 to $207,200.

Eden Hall is a townhome community currently under construction.  All of the two and three bedroom floorplans have a master bedroom suite on the main level.  One floorplan is a ranch.  Amenities in historic downtown Matthews are within walking distance of the community.

Five Eden Hall homes sold in 2017, according to the Carolina Multiple Listing Service.  The average sales price was $412,706.  They were on the market an average of 99 days.  The closed price was 97% of the asking price.

Polo Club at Weddington

Polo Club at Weddington includes detached single family homes.

​Polo Club at Weddington is adjacent to popular Colonel Francis Beatty Park in South Charlotte.  The community has 95 homesites with attached patio homes as well as some duplexes and detached single family homes. Most of the homes are ranches although some have upstairs suites.  They range in size from 1500 square feet heated to 2300 square feet.  

The adjacent Courtyards at Weddington Road is the final phase with detached single family homes.  There was one closed sale there in 2017 at $338,000.

Gazebo Park at St Andrews provides outdoor space for community events.

You can walk to restaurants, grocery stores and other service businesses from the Village of St Andrews.  Located at the intersection of McKee and Weddington Roads adjacent to two community shopping centers and the Siskey YMCA, St Andrews is perfect for seniors who don't want to spend a lot of time in their cars.

St Andrews homes are ranches with most of the buildings housing four attached units.  Each home has a private door and a two-car garage.  These patio homes are mostly two bedroom units ranging in size from  1700 square feet to over 2100 square feet.

Walden Austin Village

Matthews NC 55+ communities

The model home at Walden Austin Village is the McLendon.

​Walden Austin Village is a new home community where you can find quality construction with features such as craftsman-style exteriors and upgraded interior finishes and moldings.

The community features two floor plans that can be built as a single level ranch or a two-level with bonus rooms upstairs.  Square footage is from 1900+ to almost 3000.

The first two homes in the community closed in 2017.  The average sales price was $421,302.
